For most people it will be very difficult and also not practical, to get physically involved in the work the HBCCA is doing in Imizamo Yethu. The majority of us have careers, businesses and family commitments. We all need teachers, lawyers, doctors, businessmen to run our countries. And also, many don't even live in Cape Town or South Africa. But still, we feel an urge to also play a role in uplifting people's lives. One has this burning desire to also make a meaningful contribution to this type of work. Almost half of our monthly expenses are covered by donations we receive from caring private individuals - locally and abroad. Their loyal support makes it possible for us to keep Iziko Lobomi's doors open. So, yes, you can and to be honest, should make a difference in less-privileged people's lives.
