The Hout Bay Lions Club is one of the HBCCA's most loyal supporters. Generous donations
have been received for many different projects over the lifetime of the Iziko Lobomi Community
Centre. Regular monthly contributions towards food parcels and running costs are also received
from the Club.

IT Management Advisory Services (Pty) Ltd t/a Gartner Africa
* Gartner Africa was one of the original 9 founding sponsoring companies of Iziko Lobomi
* Gartner Africa initiated the setting up and running of the current computer training facility at Iziko Lobomi which is
equipped with 12 computers. Computer literacy training classes are available for school learners Grades Grade 6 to 8
in the afternoons and adults in the evenings.
* Gartner Africa was also involved in various other community upliftment projects such as Basic Bricklaying Training
for men and one-day Customer Care Training Sessions for students and employed and unemployed persons
* Gartner Africa also contributed monthly towards salaries and the running costs of the Centre.

Gartner SA took the support of the Iziko Lobomi computer training facility (managed by TeboComputers) over from ITMAS at the beginning of
2017. Gartner SA is also involved in the support of many initiatives at Iziko Lobomi which include encouragement
of the worldwide family of Gartner employees to make donation using the Benevity Causes Portal where all staff
donations are matched by Gartner, Inc.
Gartner SA also invited Iziko Lobomi to man an exhibition stand in the IT Expo hall at their 2017 Symposium
at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, giving the Centre excellent exposure and also an opportunity
to sell many items made at the Centre.
The input, advice and encouragement received from Gartner SA and Gartner, Inc. are invaluable and makes them
a much treasured partner in the big task to empower and strengthen the local community.

Fifty pairs of soccer shoes from Down-Under!
Fifty pairs of soccer boots were delivered to Iziko Lobomi on Wednesday morning the 23rd of September by Penny
Whiteing and her two boys, all the way from Australia. Penny is the daughter-in-law of one of the HBCCA's most
loyal and longstanding volunteers, Margie Whiteing.
Thank you very much guys, this is a very kind gesture and is much, much appreciated.

March 2008
Britta's letter published on our News page brought the total sum of R 26,717.75 in !!(date 9 April '08) 2008)
A total of 44 friends responded and just before Britta and Anne left South Africa they left a special
word of thanks to everyone who responded:

Britta went back to Germany on Monday 24th March 2008 to continue her studies.
The HBCCA would like to extend a warm thank-you to Britta, Anne and all their friends and family
for their wonderful support. It is immensely encouraging and serves to strengthen our hands to
continue with the work we believe God wants us to do for the people of Imizamo Yethu and His
Kingdom.
September 2008 Update
It is wonderful for us to thank the following people for donations received in the last couple of
months. They have all heard of our work through their dear friend Britta:
