NEED FOR SALVATION

John 3:16

For God loved the world so much that He gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

(Many people are repulsed by thinking about living forever because their lives are miserable. But eternal life is not the extension of manís miserable, mortal life; eternal life is Godís life embodied in Christ given to all believers now as a guarantee that they will live forever. In this life there is no death, sickness, enemies, evil and sin. When we donít know Christ, we make choices as though this life were all we have. In reality, this life is just the introduction to eternity. Begin therefore to evaluate all that happens from an eternal perspective.

True love is not static or self-centred, it reaches out and draws others in. God sets the pattern of true love here, the basis for all love relationships - if you love someone dearly, you are willing to pay dearly for that personís responsive love. God paid dearly with the life of His Son, the highest price He could pay. Jesus accepted our punishment, paid the price for our sins, and then offered us the new life He bought for us.

If you havenít decided to take this step of faith in accepting this gift of salvation offered to you by Jesus Christ, the Son of God - why not do it still today while there is time? Jesus came into this world to take away the sin of man. He is the only one who can do that. We cannot enter God's Kingdom with unforgiven sin. No amount of good deeds and respectable living can save us from eternal damnation (Hell). The decision to repent and to trust Jesus Christ as your saviour can only be taken by you and can only be taken on this side of the grave. There will be no second chance to do this. The parable of Lazarus and the rich man, in (Luke 16:19-31) clearly illustrates this. Every person will bear the consequences of his or her decisions taken in this life. The Bible says that no man will ever regret taking this step and together with God, millions of angels in heaven will rejoice and share in your joy!)
